Creos Capture (Chrome extension)

• The extension sends everything you capture — posts, screenshots, page archives, links — exclusively to the Creos desktop application running on your own computer, over a local connection (127.0.0.1). No captured content is ever transmitted to us or to any third party.
• The extension has no analytics, no tracking, and no accounts. We cannot see what you save, browse, or import.
• The extension stores only its local pairing settings (the port and token used to talk to your Creos app, and your chosen target library) in Chrome’s extension storage on your device.
• When you save a post, the extension may fetch that post’s media (for example, a video file) directly from the platform’s own servers — the same requests your browser makes when viewing the post — solely to deliver it to your local library.

Creos for iOS

• Your library on iPhone — saves, collections, tags, files — is stored in a local database on your device. There is no Creos cloud; we hold no copy of your library.
• The share extension processes what you share on your device and may fetch a page’s public preview (title, image) directly from the source website — never through our servers.
• Optional Mac sync transfers your library directly between your iPhone and your Mac over your local Wi-Fi network; it does not pass through any server of ours.
• The iOS app collects anonymous usage analytics (which features are used, basic device information) via PostHog to help us improve the app. This data is not linked to your identity, is never used for advertising or tracking across apps, and never includes the content of your library. No account is required to use the app.

Creos (desktop app)

• Your library — every save, note, tag, and file — is stored in a local database and media folder on your Mac. There is no Creos cloud; we hold no copy of your library.
• Optional sign-in and license validation exchange only your email/license status with our authentication and payment providers — never your library content.
• Optional iPhone sync transfers data directly between your devices over your local network; it does not pass through any server of ours.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect, sell, or share: your browsing history, the content you save, your files, your library, or any personal data beyond what is described above. The Chrome extension and desktop app collect no analytics at all.
